SW WA, Lower Columbia Fishing Report (3-27-24)

Preliminary Washington Columbia River mainstem and tributary sport sampling summary March 18-24, 2024

Mainstem Columbia River 

Salmon/Steelhead

Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 50 bank anglers kept one Chinook and released one steelhead.

Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – No report. 

Sec 3 (I-5 area) – No report.  

Sec 4 (Vancouver) – 20 bank anglers had no catch. 23 boats/39 rods had no catch.

Sec 5 (Woodland) – 23 bank anglers had no catch. 21 boats/45 rods had no catch.

Sec 6 (Kalama) – 14 bank anglers had no catch. 6 boats/11 rods had no catch. 

Sec 7 (Cowlitz) – 11 boats/39 rods kept one Chinook and released one Chinook. 

Sec 8 (Longview) – 80 bank anglers kept three steelhead and released one steelhead. 63 boats/137 rods kept six Chinook and released four Chinook. 

Sec 9 (Cathlamet) – Two bank anglers had no catch. 2 boats/4 rods kept one Chinook.

Sec 10 (Cathlamet) – One bank angler had no catch.  

Columbia River Tributaries 

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River I-5 Br downstream – 116 bank rods kept five steelhead and released one steelhead. 1  boat/ 3 rods had no catch.  

Cowlitz River Above the I-5 Br – 73 bank rods kept 15 steelhead and released three steelhead. 45 boats/150 rods released one Chinook and kept 117 steelhead and released three steelhead. 

Kalama River – No report. 

Lewis River – Three bank rods had no catch.  

Wind River – No report. 

Drano Lake – 2 boats/4 rods had no catch. 

Klickitat River below Fisher Hill Bridge – No report. 

Klickitat River above #5 Fishway – No report.
