Sportsmen’s Show Season Arrives West Of The Cascades

Fishing, hunting and boat show season arrives west of the Cascades as three big events swing open the doors this week.

The big Washington Sportsmen’s Show kicks off today in Puyallup at noon and runs through Sunday afternoon, while the Seattle Boat Show begins Friday at both Lumen Field Event Center and Bell Harbor Marina and continues through Saturday, February 11.

The shows provide a mix of how-to workshops with well-known fishing and hunting experts, trophy antler displays and competitions, shiny new boats, hundreds of exhibits, conservation organizations, deals and much, much more.

Attractions at the Washington Sportsmen’s Show include a Q&A with public-lands advocate Randy Newberg, Kid’s Free Trout Pond, along with seminars with Bill Herzog, Bob Kratzer, Jarrod Higginbotham, Jason Brooks, Richy Harrod, Duane Inglin, Marlin LaFever and more.

The Seattle Boat Show is also well known for its seminars, and the lineup includes Tom Nelson, Dave Graybill, Tommy Donlin, Mike Surdyk, Joey Pyburn, John Keizer and others.

The first sportsmen’s show of the year in Oregon also begins February 3, the Eugene Boat & Sportsmen’s Show at the Lane Events Center, followed by the Douglas County Sportsmen’s Show in Roseburg and Willamette Sportsman Show in Albany before the big one arrives February 15, the Pacific Northwest Sportsmen’s Show at the Expo Center in Portland.
