True, it’s not quite December and not even close to 2023, but this time of year gets us thinking about winter show season in the Northwest – sportsmen’s and boat show season, that is!
The extravaganzas of fishing tackle, destination resorts and lodges, local charters, jerky, scones and heads and horns, boats and trailers, kiddie ponds and wild animals, and much more kick off immediately after the turn of the year and continue into early spring.
In addition to all the big-name events, next year will also see the return of shows that have been on hiatus for a year or two, including the Northwest Fly Tyer & Fly Fishing Expo in Albany and the Saltwater Sportsmen’s Show in Salem.
That last one is courtesy of O’Loughlin Trade Shows, which will provide background management, both organizations announced last May.

UPDATE, December 12, 2022: In early December, organizers of the Wenatchee Sportsmen’s Show decided the cancel their 2023 show, which they had scheduled for early January. They hope to pull it off in 2024.
