SW WA, Lower Columbia Fishing Report (4-10-23)

Preliminary Washington Columbia River mainstem and tributary sport sampling summary April 3-10, 2023
Mainstem Columbia River
Salmon/Steelhead:
Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 182 bank anglers kept 9 Chinook, released five Chinook and one steelhead.
Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – Four bank anglers had no catch. One boats/1 rod had no catch.
Sec 3 (I-5 area) – 4 boats/8 rods had no catch.
Sec 4 (Vancouver) – 56 bank anglers kept one Chinook. 90 boats/196 rods kept three Chinook and released one Chinook.
Sec 5 (Woodland) – 25 bank anglers released one steelhead. 42 boats/84 rods kept one Chinook and released one Chinook.
Sec 6 (Kalama) – 51 bank anglers had no catch. 53 boats/119 rods kept three Chinook.
Sec 7 (Cowlitz) – 15 boats/42 rods had no catch.
Sec 8 (Longview) – 42 bank anglers kept one Chinook. 238 boats/530 rods kept 34 Chinook and released 6 Chinook.
Sec 9 (Cathlamet) – 33 bank anglers kept one Chinook and released one steelhead. 18 boats/41 rods kept 4 Chinook and one steelhead.
Sec 10 (Cathlamet) – 110 boats/257 rods kept 42 Chinook and released seven Chinook.
Columbia River Tributaries
Salmon/Steelhead:
Cowlitz River I-5 Br downstream – 29 bank rods kept one steelhead and released one steelhead.
Cowlitz River Above the I-5 Br – 19 bank rods kept one Chinook and five steelhead and released two steelhead. 4 boats/14 rods kept 5 steelhead and released one steelhead.
Kalama River – No report.
Lewis River – One bank rod with no catch. One boat/one rod no catch.
Wind River – No report.
Drano Lake – No report.
Klickitat River below Fisher Hill Bridge – No report.
