WDFW Preliminary Lower Columbia River and Washington Tributary Sport Summary – Sept 8-14, 2025
Mainstem Columbia River
Lower Columbia River, Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam — 799 salmonid boats and 63 Washington bank rods were tallied on the flight count Saturday, September 13.

Salmon/Steelhead
Section 1 (Bonneville) — 85 bank anglers kept nine Chinook, two Chinook jacks and released one Chinook. 94 boats/259 rods kept 123 Chinook, nine Chinook jacks, two coho and released 21 Chinook, one Chinook jack and one coho.
Section 2 (Camas/Washougal) — Three bank anglers had no catch. 215 boats/521 rods kept 107 Chinook, nine Chinook jacks and released nine Chinook.
Section 3 (I-5 Area) — One bank angler had no catch. 46 boats/99 rods kept 22 Chinook, five Chinook jacks, one coho, one coho jack and released two Chinook.
Section 4 (Vancouver) — 83 bank anglers kept four Chinook and released one coho. 246 boats/590 rods kept 255 Chinook, 38 Chinook jacks, eight coho and released 10 Chinook, 12 Chinook jacks and four coho.
Section 5 (Woodland) — Closed.
Section 6 (Kalama) — Closed.
Section 7 (Cowlitz) — Closed.
Section 8 (Longview) — Closed.
Section 9 (Cathlamet) — Closed.
Section 10 (Cathlamet) — 5 boats/9 rods kept one coho and released five Chinook.

Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge downstream) — Two bank anglers released one Chinook.
Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge upstream) — One bank angler kept one steelhead. 1 boat/2 rods kept two steelhead.
Kalama River — 18 bank rods kept four Chinook, one coho and released one Chinook .
Lewis River — 211 bank anglers kept 23 coho, 17 coho jacks, one steelhead and released three Chinook, one Chinook jack, four coho, eight coho jacks and two steelhead. 19 boats/46 rods kept two Chinook, three Chinook jacks, 14 coho, 11 coho jacks and released 17 Chinook, two Chinook jacks, two coho, four coho jacks and one steelhead.
Wind River — 6 boats/15 rods kept four Chinook and two coho.
Drano Lake — 53 bank anglers kept seven Chinook, one Chinook jack and released six Chinook and six steelhead. 93 boats/285 rods kept 138 Chinook, 14 Chinook jacks, 17 coho and released 66 Chinook, one Chinook jack, one coho and 13 steelhead.
Klickitat River (below Fisher Hill Bridge) — Three bank anglers had no catch.

ODFW Buoy 10 Catch Summaries
From Friday, September 12 through Sunday, September 14, 2025 Oregon creel samplers contacted 106 boats (327 anglers) for 158 Coho (averaged 0.55 fish/rod) kept; and 100 Chinook and 133 Coho released.
