Mainstem Columbia River
Salmon/Steelhead
Lower Columbia River, Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam — 229 salmonid boats and 130 Washington bank rods were tallied on the flight count Saturday, August 1.
Section 1 (Bonneville) — 33 bank anglers kept one steelhead, released two Chinook and two steelhead. 2 boats/4 rods kept one Chinook jack.
Section 2 (Camas/Washougal) — No bank effort reported. 10 boats/18 rods kept one steelhead, released four Chinook, one Chinook jack and two steelhead.
Section 3 (I-5 Area) — 10 bank anglers had no catch. No boat effort reported.
Section 4 (Vancouver) — 26 bank anglers released two steelhead. 9 boats/18 rods kept three Chinook, one Chinook jack, released one Chinook and one Chinook jack.
Section 5 (Woodland) — 69 bank anglers kept two steelhead and released two steelhead. 13 boats/24 rods kept five steelhead, released two Chinook and two steelhead.
Section 6 (Kalama) — 148 bank anglers kept six steelhead and released 18 steelhead. 4 boats/8 rods released three steelhead.
Section 7 (Cowlitz) — No bank effort reported. 5 boats/9 rods released one Chinook jack.
Section 8 (Longview) — 156 bank anglers kept 12 steelhead and released 17 steelhead. 28 boats/64 rods kept one Chinook, 10 steelhead, released one Chinook and five steelhead.
Section 9 (Cathlamet) — 26 bank anglers kept six steelhead, released two Chinook and one steelhead. 11 boats/25 rods kept five steelhead, released one Chinook and four steelhead.
Section 10 (Cathlamet) — 13 bank anglers kept three steelhead and released one steelhead. No boat effort reported.
