Info Needed On Poaching Of 2 Bucks Near Malheur NWR
Oregon fish and wildlife troopers are asking for the public’s help as they investigate the poaching of a pair of mule deer bucks just north of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge over the weekend.
A local resident spotted the dead deer in a field off of Lawen Road between Highways 78 and 205 and officers from the state police’s Fish and Wildlife Division believe they were shot either late last Friday or early on Saturday.
Tipsters are asked to call Troopers Geoff Smith or Dean Trent via the Turn In Poachers hotline, (800) 452-7888 or (541) 589-2547.
Information leading to an arrest or citation could yield preference points or a cash reward.
