Preliminary Lower Columbia River and Washington Tributary Sport Summary – May 12-18, 2025
Mainstem Columbia River
Lower Columbia River, Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam — 371 salmonid boats and 256 Washington bank rods were tallied on the flight count Sunday, May 18.

Salmon/Steelhead
Section 1 (Bonneville) — 359 bank anglers kept 64 Chinook, 19 jacks, and released five Chinook and three jacks. 3 boats/6 rods kept two Chinook and released one Chinook.
Section 2 (Camas/Washougal) — 15 bank anglers had no catch. 37 boats/74 rods kept six Chinook, two jacks and released one Chinook.
Section 3 (I-5 Area) — No bank effort reported. 2 boats/2 rods had no catch.
Section 4 (Vancouver) — 30 bank anglers kept two Chinook. 70 boats/140 rods kept 17 Chinook, one jack, and released two Chinook and one steelhead.
Section 5 (Woodland) — 32 bank anglers had no catch. 33 boats/62 rods kept three Chinook, one jack and released one steelhead.
Section 6 (Kalama) — 50 bank anglers kept two Chinook and one jack. 19 boats/41 rods kept seven Chinook and three jacks.
Section 7 (Cowlitz) — No bank effort reported. 6 boats/19 rods kept five Chinook, one jack and released three Chinook.
Section 8 (Longview) — 77 bank anglers kept four Chinook, one jack, one steelhead and released one steelhead. 120 boats/250 rods kept 32 Chinook, seven jacks, four steelhead, and released eight Chinook, one jack and one steelhead.
Section 9 (Cathlamet) — 35 bank anglers had no catch. 4 boats/15 rods kept one Chinook, two steelhead and released two Chinook.
Section 10 (Cathlamet) — Four bank anglers had no catch. 48 boats/110 rods kept 14 Chinook, two jacks, one steelhead, and released two Chinook and one steelhead.
