Mainstem Columbia River 

Lower Columbia River, Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam — No flight  count available. 

Salmon/Steelhead 

Section 1 (Bonneville) — Closed. 

Section 2 (Camas/Washougal) — Closed. 

Section 3 (I-5 Area) — Closed. 

Section 4 (Vancouver) — Closed. 

Section 5 (Woodland) — Closed. 

Section 6 (Kalama) — Closed. 

Section 7 (Cowlitz) — Closed. 

Section 8 (Longview) — Closed. 

Section 9 (Cathlamet) — Closed. 

Section 10 (Cathlamet) — Two bank anglers kept one coho. 3 boats/5 rods kept four coho and  released one coho.

Columbia River Tributaries 

Salmon/Steelhead 

Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge downstream) — 25 bank anglers kept two coho, one coho jack and released one Chinook and one coho. 9 boats/17 rods kept one coho jack and released nine Chinook and 11 Chinook jacks. 

Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge upstream) — 14 bank anglers kept two steelhead and released one  Chinook. 3 boats/4 rods kept one steelhead. 

Kalama River — 31 bank rods kept one steelhead. 1 boat/1 rod had no catch. 

Lewis River — 230 bank anglers kept three Chinook jacks, 26 coho, nine coho jacks, two steelhead  and released 11 Chinook, one Chinook jack and 15 coho. 44 boats/114 rods kept eight Chinook,  eight Chinook jacks, 13 coho, 10 coho jacks, one steelhead and released 58 Chinook, 10 Chinook  jacks, three coho, two coho jacks and two steelhead. 

Wind River — 13 bank anglers kept one coho and released one Chinook and one coho. 57 boats/117 rods kept 16 Chinook, one Chinook jack, 59 coho, two coho jacks and released 38 coho. 

Drano Lake — 51 bank anglers kept one Chinook, three Chinook jacks, two coho, one coho jack and  released eight Chinook, one coho and seven steelhead. 92 boats/331 rods kept 244 Chinook, 63 Chinook jacks, 25 coho, two coho jacks and released 27 Chinook, 10 Chinook jacks, four coho and  nine steelhead. 

Klickitat River (below Fisher Hill Bridge) — 66 bank anglers kept 36 Chinook, one Chinook jack, two  coho and released three Chinook. 

Klickitat River (above# 5 fishway) — 9 bank anglers kept two Chinook and one Chinook jack. 1  boat/3 rods released one steelhead.

ODFW Buoy 10 Columbia Catch Summaries

From Friday, September 26 through Sunday, September 28, 2025 Oregon creel samplers contacted 126 boats (366 anglers) for 391 Coho (averaged 1.05 fish/rod) kept; and 23 Chinook and 183 Coho released.

2025 Cumulative Report through 9/28/2025:
Boats sampled to date: 5,382 boats (17,668 anglers)
Fish sampled to date: 6,392 Chinook and 6,769 Coho
Estimated angler trips: 61,648 boat and 4,381 bank
Estimated kept catch: 23,852 Chinook and 25,613 Coho
Estimated released: 16,545 Chinook and 16,877 Coho

WDFW 2025 Hanford Reach Sport Harvest

The Hanford Reach fall salmon sport fishery from September 22 through September 28. WDFW staff interviewed anglers from 332 boats (1,066 anglers) with 351 adult Chinook. Based on sampling, an estimated 1,378 adult Chinook were harvested from 4,116 angler trips (1,425 boats) in the seventh week of the fishery.
