SW WA, Lower Columbia Fishing Report (9-5-22)

Preliminary Washington Columbia River mainstem and tributary sport sampling summary August 29-Sept 1, 2022
Mainstem Columbia River
Salmon/Steelhead:
Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 11 bank anglers had no catch. 16 boats/29 rods released one Chinook.
Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 3 boats/7 rods had no catch.
Sec 3 (I-5 area) – Two bank anglers had no catch. 22 boats/41 rods kept 12 Chinook and one Chinook jack.
Sec 4 (Vancouver) – 29 bank anglers kept seven Chinook. 50 boats/134 rods kept 72 Chinook and six Chinook jacks.
Sec 5 (Woodland) – 12 bank anglers had no catch. 30 boats/54 rods kept nine Chinook and one Chinook jack, one coho and released two coho jacks and one steelhead.
Sec 6 (Kalama) – 99 bank anglers kept four Chinook, one Chinook jack and released one Chinook jack. 10 boats/19 rods had no catch.
Sec 7 (Cowlitz) – 59 boats/112 rods kept 15 Chinook, two Chinook jacks and released one Chinook.
Sec 8 (Longview) – 19 bank anglers kept one Chinook. 22 boats/44 rods kept 10 Chinook, one coho and released one coho.
Sec 9 (Cathlamet) – No report.
Sec 10 (Cathlamet) – One bank angler had no catch.
Columbia River Tributaries
Salmon/Steelhead:
Cowlitz River I-5 Br downstream – Four bank rods had no catch. 1 boat/1 rod kept one Chinook.
Cowlitz River Above the I-5 Br – Five bank rods released one steelhead.
Kalama River – No report.
Lewis River – No report.
Wind River – No report.
Drano Lake – 15 bank rods kept one Chinook and released one Chinook and three steelhead. 61 boats/135 rods kept 43 Chinook, four Chinook jacks, two coho and released 39 Chinook, eight Chinook jacks, one coho and two steelhead.
Klickitat River below Fisher Hill Bridge – No report.
Klickitat River above #5 Fishway – No report.
