Fishery Reports: 

Lower Columbia River, Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam – 373 salmonid boats and 155 Washington bank rods were tallied during Saturday’s (8/12) flight count. 

Mainstem Columbia River 

Salmon/Steelhead

Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 46 bank anglers kept three Chinook. 1 boat/1 rod had no catch.  Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 7 boats/12 rods kept two Chinook. 

Sec 3 (I-5 area) – Three bank anglers had no catch.  

Sec 4 (Vancouver) – 17 bank anglers had no catch. 17 boats/35 rods had no catch. 

Sec 5 (Woodland) – 45 bank anglers had no catch. 41 boats/91 rods kept 13 Chinook and released three  steelhead.

Sec 6 (Kalama) – 72 bank anglers kept eight Chinook. 15 boats/33 rods kept one Chinook. Sec 7 (Cowlitz) – 35 boats/78 rods kept four Chinook and released six steelhead. 

Sec 8 (Longview) – 34 bank anglers released two steelhead. 33 boats/63 rods released one Chinook and  one jack. 

Sec 9 (Cathlamet) – Three bank anglers had no catch. 4 boats/8 rods had no catch.

Sturgeon: 

Sec 6 (Kalama) – 1 boat/2 rods released one legal and 13 sublegal sturgeon. 

Columbia River Tributaries 

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River I-5 Br downstream – 16 bank rods kept one steelhead. 1 boat/1 rod had no catch. 

Cowlitz River Above the I-5 Br – Three bank rods had no catch. 2 boats/5 rods kept two steelhead.

Kalama River – 10 bank rods released one steelhead. 1 boat/1 rod had no catch.

Lewis River – 28 bank rods kept one steelhead. 12 boats/23 rods kept one steelhead.

Wind River – No report. 

Drano Lake – Four bank rods released one steelhead. 55 boats/125 rods kept 13 Chinook, four jacks and released 47 steelhead. 

Klickitat River below Fisher Hill Bridge – No report. 

Klickitat River above #5 Fishway – One bank rod had no catch.
