SW WA, Lower Columbia Fishing Report (8-12-21)

Fishery Reports:
Lower Columbia mainstem Longview upstream to Bonneville Dam – 176 salmonid boats and 66 Washington bank rods were tallied during Saturday’s (8/7) flight count.
Mainstem Columbia River
Salmon/Steelhead:
Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 11 bank anglers had no catch. 2 boats/4 rods had no catch.
Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 3 boats/8 rods had no catch.
Sec 3 (I-5 area) – Nine bank anglers had no catch.
Sec 4 (Vancouver) – 49 bank anglers kept one Chinook and released one steelhead. 18 boats/32 rods had no catch.
Sec 5 (Woodland) – 14 bank anglers had no catch. 16 boats/26 rods kept two Chinook and released one steelhead.
Sec 6 (Kalama) – 66 bank anglers kept two Chinook. 9 boats/21 rods kept one Chinook.
Sec 7 (Cowlitz) – 14 boats/40 rods kept two Chinook one jack and released four steelhead.
Sec 8 (Longview) – 21 bank anglers had no catch. 6 boats/12 rods had no catch.
Sec 9 (Cathlamet) – Two bank anglers had no catch. 2 boats/2 rods had no catch.
Sec 10 (Cathlamet) – 2 boats/5 rods had no catch.
Sturgeon:
Sec 4 (Vancouver) – 2 boats/5 rods had no catch.
Sec 6 (Kalama) – 1 boat/2 rods released 10 sublegal, five legal, and two oversize sturgeon.
Walleye:
Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 2 boats/5 rods had no catch.
Columbia River Tributaries
Salmon/Steelhead:
Cowlitz River I-5 Br downstream – No report.
Cowlitz River Above the I-5 Br – No report.
Kalama River – Five bank rods had no catch.
Lewis River – 15 bank rods had no catch. 3 boats/6 rods kept one steelhead.
Drano Lake – Three bank rods released one steelhead. 29 boats/66 rods kept eight Chinook, two jacks and released seven steelhead.
Klickitat River below Fisher Hill Bridge – No report.
Klickitat River above #5 Fishway – No report.
