SW WA, Lower Columbia Fishing Report (7-19-21)

Preliminary Washington Columbia River mainstem and tributary sport sampling summary July 12-18, 2021
Mainstem Columbia River
Salmon/Steelhead:
Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 33 bank anglers kept two steelhead and released two Chinook. 1 boat/2 rods had no catch.
Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 5 boats/8 rods had no catch.
Sec 3 (I-5 area) – 20 bank anglers kept two steelhead and released four steelhead.
Sec 4 (Vancouver) – Seven bank anglers released one steelhead. 1 boat/3 rods had no catch.
Sec 5 (Woodland) – 53 bank anglers kept three steelhead, one sockeye and released three steelhead. 5 boats/10 rods kept one steelhead and released one steelhead.
Sec 6 (Kalama) – 75 bank anglers released one Chinook and four steelhead. 4 boats/5 rods had no catch.
Sec 7 (Cowlitz) – 1 boat/1 rod had no catch.
Sec 8 (Longview) – 158 bank anglers kept 10 steelhead and released 19 steelhead. 12 boats/27 rods released 1 steelhead.
Sec 9 (Cathlamet) – 25 bank anglers released one steelhead. 5 boats/21 rods kept 13 steelhead, one sockeye and released 11 steelhead.
Sec 10 (Cathlamet) – Eight bank anglers kept two steelhead.
Sturgeon:
Sec 7 (Cowlitz) – 1 boat/4 rods released 10 sublegal and two legal sturgeon.
Sec 8 (Longview) – Four bank anglers released one sublegal sturgeon.
Columbia River Tributaries
Salmon/Steelhead:
Cowlitz River – I-5 Br downstream – 20 bank rods had no catch.
Above the I-5 Br – 13 bank rods kept one steelhead and released one jack. 8 boats/24 rods kept 11 steelhead.
Kalama River – 19 bank rods had no catch.
Lewis River – 36 bank rods had no catch. 6 boats/10 rods kept one steelhead.
Klickitat River below Fisher Hill Bridge – No report.
Klickitat above #5 Fishway – One bank rod had no catch. 1 boat/3 rods kept one steelhead and released one steelhead.
