Preliminary Washington Columbia River mainstem and tributary sport sampling summary March 28-April 3, 2022

Fishery Reports: 

Lower Columbia River mainstem Buoy 10 upstream to Corbett – 1,115 salmonid boats and 115 Washington bank rods were tallied during Saturday’s (4/2) flight count.

Mainstem Columbia River 

Salmon/Steelhead

Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 304 bank anglers kept 27 Chinook, one jack and released 13 Chinook. 14 boats/30  rods kept six Chinook and released one Chinook.  

Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 49 boats/84 rods kept eight Chinook and released five Chinook. Sec 3 (I-5 area) – 57 boats/109 rods kept 10 Chinook.  

Sec 4 (Vancouver) – 99 bank anglers kept three Chinook. 135 boats/268 rods kept 26 Chinook and  released two Chinook. 

Sec 5 (Woodland) – 37 bank anglers kept one Chinook. 103 boats/244 rods kept 35 Chinook and  released five Chinook. 

Sec 6 (Kalama) – 75 bank anglers released one Chinook. 155 boats/403 rods kept 61 Chinook and  released 10 Chinook.  

Sec 7 (Cowlitz) – 46 boats/160 rods kept 33 Chinook and released one Chinook. 

Sec 8 (Longview) – 74 bank anglers kept one Chinook and one steelhead. 248 boats/560 rods kept 83  Chinook, two jacks, one steelhead and released 10 Chinook. 

Sec 9 (Cathlamet) – Nine bank anglers had no catch. 13 boats/32 rods kept nine Chinook. 

Sec 10 (Cathlamet) – One bank angler had no catch. 160 boats/369 rods kept 106 Chinook, one jack and  released six Chinook.

Cowlitz River I-5 Br downstream – Three bank rods kept one steelhead and released one steelhead. 

Cowlitz River Above the I-5 Br – 88 bank rods kept 22 steelhead. 6 boats/19 rods kept 18 steelhead. 

Kalama River – No report.  

Lewis River – No report. 

Wind River – 1 boat/2 rods had no catch.  

Drano Lake – 1 boat/1 rod had no catch.
