Preliminary Washington Columbia River mainstem and tributary sport sampling summary March 20-26, 2023
Mainstem Columbia River
Salmon/Steelhead:
Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 66 bank anglers released one steelhead.
Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 4 boats/6 rods had no catch.

Sec 3 (I-5 area) – Two bank anglers had no catch. 12 boats/21 rods had no catch.
Sec 4 (Vancouver) – 29 bank anglers had no catch. 44 boats/78 rods kept two Chinook.
Sec 5 (Woodland) – 19 bank anglers had no catch. 27 boats/39 rods kept one Chinook.
Sec 6 (Kalama) – 27 bank anglers had no catch. 40 boats/116 rods kept had no catch.
Sec 7 (Cowlitz) – 8 boats/19 rods had no catch.
Sec 8 (Longview) – 79 bank anglers kept two steelhead and released two steelhead. 103 boats/208 rods released two Chinook and one steelhead.
Sec 9 (Cathlamet) – Seven bank anglers had no catch. 10 boats/20 rods had no catch.
Sec 10 (Cathlamet) – 24 boats/60 rods had no catch.
Columbia River Tributaries
Salmon/Steelhead:
Cowlitz River I-5 Br downstream – Eight bank rods had no catch. 1 boat/1 rod had no catch.
Cowlitz River Above the I-5 Br – Six bank rods had no catch.
Kalama River – No report.
Lewis River – No report.
Wind River – No report.
Drano Lake – No report.
