Preliminary Washington Columbia River mainstem and tributary sport sampling summary October 24-31, 2022
Mainstem Columbia River
Salmon/Steelhead:
Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 26 bank anglers kept six coho.
Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 7 boats/11 rods kept one coho.
Sec 3 (I-5 area) – No report.
Sec 4 (Vancouver) – No report.
Sec 5 (Woodland) – Seven bank anglers had no catch. 10 boats/24 rods kept four coho.
Sec 6 (Kalama) – 16 bank anglers had no catch. 4 boats/5 rods had no catch.
Sec 7 (Cowlitz) – 4 boats/9 rods released one Chinook.
Sec 8 (Longview) – Two bank anglers had no catch. 2 boats/2 rods had no catch.
Sec 9 (Cathlamet) – No report.
Sec 10 (Cathlamet) – No report.
Columbia River Tributaries
Salmon/Steelhead:
Cowlitz River I-5 Br downstream – 14 bank rods released one coho.
Cowlitz River Above the I-5 Br – 15 bank rods kept two coho and released five Chinook, one Chinook jack and two coho. 2 boats/4 rods had no catch.
Kalama River – 38 bank rods kept seven coho and released one coho. 2 boats/5 rods kept three coho.
Lewis River – 142 bank rods kept 51 coho, two steelhead and released two Chinook, 11 coho and two coho jacks. 9 boats/24 rods kept three Chinook, seven coho and released two coho.
Wind River – No report.
Drano Lake – 54 bank rods kept four Chinook, two coho and released two Chinook and two coho. 17 boats/39 rods kept 15 coho and released nine Chinook and one steelhead.
Klickitat River below Fisher Hill Bridge – 50 bank rods kept three Chinook, 15 coho and released one Chinook and six coho.
Klickitat River above #5 Fishway – No report.
