Washington Columbia River and Tributary Fishing Report Sept 28-Oct 4, 2020
Fishery Reports:
Salmon/Steelhead:
Mainstem Lower Columbia River
Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 19 bank anglers kept three Chinook and one Chinook jack. 8 boats/22 rods kept five Chinook.
Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 51 boats/110 rods kept 28 Chinook, one Chinook jack, five coho, two coho jacks and released two Chinook jacks, two coho and one coho jack.
Sec 3 (I-5 area) – 3 boats/7 rods released one coho.
Sec 4 (Vancouver) – 18 bank anglers kept three Chinook. 36 boats/70 rods kept five Chinook, six coho and released one coho.
Sec 5 (Woodland) – Seven bank anglers had no catch. 17 boats/41 rods kept five Chinook and one coho jack.
Sec 6 (Kalama) – 49 bank anglers had no catch. 24 boats/52 rods kept eight Chinook, four coho and released one Chinook.
Sec 7 (Cowlitz) – 16 boats/29 rods kept eight Chinook, one Chinook jack and one coho jack.
Sec 8 (Longview) – Three bank anglers had no catch. 43 boats/83 rods kept 11 Chinook, four coho and released one coho.
Sec 9 (Cathlamet) – 1 boat/2 rods had no catch.
Sturgeon:
Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 18 bank anglers released one sublegal sturgeon. 4 boats/9 rods had no catch. Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 15 boats/31 rods had no catch.
Sec 3 (I-5 area) – 6 boats/15 rods kept one legal and released eight sublegal and six oversized sturgeon.
Sec 4 (Vancouver) – Two bank anglers had no catch. 24 boats/45 rods kept three legal and released nine sublegal and two oversized sturgeon.
Sec 5 (Woodland) – 7 boats/21 rods kept two legal and released three sublegal sturgeon. Sec 6 (Kalama) – 42 boats/104 rods kept one legal and released four sublegal sturgeon. Sec 7 (Cowlitz) – 8 boats/19 rods released one sublegal sturgeon.
Sec 8 (Longview) – 56 boats/124 rods kept four legal and released nine sublegal and seven oversized sturgeon.
Walleye:
Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 1 boat/1 rod had no catch.
Salmon/Steelhead:
Columbia River Tributaries
Cowlitz River – I-5 Br downstream – 20 bank anglers kept one coho and released one Chinook and one Chinook jack. 27 boats/67 rods kept 23 coho, eight coho jacks and released 37 Chinook, 11 Chinook jacks, 15 coho and two coho jacks.
Lewis River – 20 bank anglers kept one coho and released one Chinook. 3 boats/4 rods kept one Chinook.
Klickitat below Fisher Hill Bridge – 39 bank anglers kept one Chinook, three coho and two coho jacks.
Drano Lake – Nine bank anglers had no catch. 21 boats/51 rods kept 10 Chinook, four Chinook jacks, two coho, one steelhead and released 22 Chinook, one Chinook jack and one steelhead.
