SW WA, Lower Columbia Fishing Report (10-20-20)
THE FOLLOWING FISHING REPORT WAS FORWARDED BY WDFW’S BRYANT SPELLMAN
Preliminary Washington lower Columbia River mainstem and tributary sport sampling summary October 12-18, 2020.
Fishery Reports:
Salmon/Steelhead:
Mainstem Lower Columbia River
Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 57 bank anglers kept six Chinook and two coho. 9 boats/22 rods kept seven Chinook, four coho and released two Chinook.
Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 46 boats/88 rods kept six Chinook, three Chinook jacks, six coho and released one Chinook.
Sec 4 (Vancouver) – Eight bank anglers had no catch. 10 boats/15 rods kept two Chinook. Sec 5 (Woodland) – 2 boats/2 rods had no catch.
Sec 6 (Kalama) – 12 bank anglers had no catch. 5 boats/11 rods kept one Chinook and one coho. Sec 8 (Longview) – One bank angler had no catch. 2 boats/7 rods had no catch.
Walleye:
Sec 2 (Camas/Washougal) – 1 boat/1 rod had no catch.
Salmon/Steelhead:
Columbia River Tributaries
Cowlitz River – I-5 Br downstream – Six bank rods had no catch.
Kalama River – 30 bank anglers kept nine coho and three coho jacks. 11 boats/23 rods kept 12 coho, six coho jacks and released two Chinook and one steelhead.
Lewis River – 20 bank anglers kept two coho and released six Chinook and one coho. 7 boats/17 rods released one Chinook jack and one coho.
Drano Lake – Seven bank anglers had no catch. 8 boats/14 rods kept three Chinook and three coho.
Klickitat below Fisher Hill Bridge – 51 bank anglers kept three Chinook, 17 coho and released three Chinook. Klickitat above #5 Fishway – Six bank anglers had no catch.
