Columbia River and Tributary Fishery Reports 

Mainstem Columbia River 

Shad

Sec 1 (Bonneville) – 26 bank anglers kept 237 shad. 2 boats/7 rods kept 65 shad. 

ANGLERS ARE CATCHING GOOD NUMBERS OF SHAD AT BONNEVILLE DAM, BOTH FROM THE BOAT AND BANK. (CHASE GUNNELL)

Columbia River Tributaries 

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River I-5 Br downstream – 62 bank rods kept three steelhead. 1 boat/2 rods had no catch. 

Cowlitz River Above the I-5 Br – 34 bank rods kept six Chinook, two jacks, three steelhead and released  one Chinook. 6 boats/19 rods kept 16 steelhead. 

Kalama River – 51 bank rods kept one Chinook, one steelhead and released one steelhead. 11 boats/25 rods kept 12 Chinook, four jacks and released one Chinook. 

Lewis River – 36 bank rods had no catch. 11 boats/19 rods kept two Chinook, one jack and released one Chinook. 

Wind River – Seven bank rods had no catch. 11 boats/20 rods had no catch. 

Drano Lake – One bank rod had no catch. 11 boats/16 rods had no catch. 

Klickitat River below Fisher Hill Bridge – Two bank rods had no catch.
