SW WA Fishing Report (5-9-23)

Preliminary Washington tributary sport sampling summary May 1-7, 2023

Columbia River Tributaries 

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River I-5 Br downstream – 58 bank rods kept two Chinook. 5 boats/12 rods had no catch. 

Cowlitz River Above the I-5 Br – 12 bank rods kept one Chinook and released one steelhead. 1 boat/2  rods kept one Chinook.

Kalama River – 47 bank rods kept two Chinook. 37 boats/87 rods kept 14 Chinook, one jack and  released three steelhead. 

Lewis River – Three bank rods had no catch.

Wind River – 21 bank rods had no catch. 177 boats/619 rods kept 113 Chinook, two jacks, two steelhead and released three Chinook and one steelhead. 

Drano Lake – 46 bank rods released one Chinook. 203 boats/616 rods kept 160 Chinook and released  two Chinook. 

Klickitat River below Fisher Hill Bridge – Two bank rods had no catch.
