SW WA Fishing Report (5-6-24)

Preliminary Washington tributary sport sampling summary April 29 – May 5, 2024

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River I-5 Br downstream – 55 bank rods kept one steelhead, released two Chinook and one jack. 2 boats/7 rods released one Chinook.  

Cowlitz River Above the I-5 Br – One bank rod kept one steelhead.

Kalama River – 40 bank rods had no catch. 42 boats/97 rods kept 30 Chinook, three jacks, and released one steelhead. 

Lewis River – Seven bank rods had no catch. 2 boats/3 rods had no catch.  

Wind River – Nine bank rods had no catch. 137 boats/429 rods kept 97 Chinook and released eight  Chinook. 

Drano Lake – 13 bank rods had no catch. 208 boats/691 rods kept 383 Chinook, one jack and released  two Chinook. 

Klickitat River below Fisher Hill Bridge – Three bank rods had no catch.
