SW WA Fishing Report (4-27-21)

Preliminary Washington tributary sport sampling summary April 19-25, 2021

Columbia River Tributaries 

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River – I-5 Br downstream – 143 bank rods kept one steelhead and released two Chinook jacks,  two steelhead and one cutthroat.  

Above the I-5 Br – 60 bank rods kept seven steelhead and released five Chinook, one steelhead and 14  cutthroat. 10 boats/23 rods kept two steelhead and released one Chinook and two steelhead. 

ANGLERS ARE CATCHING SOME SPRING CHINOOK IN SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON RIVERS. HUNTER HIGGINBOTHAM LANDED THIS ONE AT DRANO LAKE DURING THE 2018 SEASON. (FISHING PHOTO CONTEST)

Kalama River – 69 bank rods released two steelhead. 31 boats/73 rods kept 12 Chinook, three jacks and  released five steelhead.

Lewis River – 95 bank rods kept seven Chinook and released one jack. 24 boats/50 rods kept 15  Chinook, three jacks, one cutthroat and released two jacks, two steelhead and one cutthroat. 

Drano Lake – 27 bank Kept one Chinook. 122 boats/298 rods kept 48 Chinook and released three Chinook. 

Klickitat River – Seven bank rods had no catch.
