Lower Columbia River, Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam — 822 salmonid boats and 83 Washington bank rods were tallied on the flight count Saturday, September 12.
Section 1 (Bonneville) — 22 bank anglers kept one Chinook and one Chinook jack. 33 boats/94 rods kept 30 Chinook, 10 Chinook jacks, two coho, released two Chinook and three Chinook jacks.
Section 2 (Camas/Washougal) — No bank effort reported. 128 boats/291 rods kept 45 Chinook, 18 Chinook jacks, 11 coho, released one Chinook, one Chinook jack and one coho.
Section 3 (I-5 Area) — No bank effort reported. 26 boats/61 rods kept eight Chinook, two Chinook jacks, four coho and one coho jack.
Section 4 (Vancouver) — 165 bank anglers kept 18 Chinook, one Chinook jack and released three coho. 208 boats/500 rods kept 224 Chinook, 57 Chinook jacks, 30 coho, three coho jacks, released 10 Chinook, 12 Chinook jacks, three coho and one steelhead.

Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge downstream) — 29 bank anglers released one Chinook, two Chinook jacks and one coho. 9 boats/22 rods kept eight coho, two coho jacks, one steelhead, released 15 Chinook, three Chinook jacks, five coho and three coho jacks.
Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge upstream) — Nine bank anglers kept one steelhead and released one Chinook.
Kalama River — 34 bank anglers kept one Chinook, released one Chinook and one Chinook jack.
Lewis River — 244 bank anglers kept two Chinook, 86 coho, nine coho jacks, released three Chinook and eight coho. 20 boats/36 rods kept one Chinook, one Chinook jack, 42 coho, seven coho jacks, released two Chinook and three coho.

Drano Lake — 27 bank anglers kept two Chinook. 70 boats/203 rods kept 93 Chinook, 29 Chinook jacks, 12 coho, released 55 Chinook, one Chinook jack, one coho and five steelhead.
Klickitat River (below Fisher Hill Bridge) — 28 bank anglers kept seven Chinook, one Chinook jack, released two Chinook and one steelhead.
Klickitat River (above Fisher Hill Bridge) — Two bank anglers had no catch. 1 boat/2 rods released one steelhead.
2026 Hanford Sport Fishery
The Hanford Reach fall salmon sport fishery has started to pick up. McNary passage has increased this week and is expected to continue in good numbers. WDFW staff interviewed anglers from 96 boats (330 anglers) with 81 adult Chinook. Based on sampling, an estimated 313 adult Chinook were harvested from1,130 angler trips (378 boats).
