THE FOLLOWING FISHING REPORTS ORIGINATED WITH WDFW AND ODFW

Preliminary Lower Columbia River and Washington Tributary Sport Summary – March 23-30, 2026

Mainstem Columbia River

Lower Columbia River, Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam — 521 salmonid boats and 117 Washington bank rods were tallied on the flight count Saturday, March 28.

Salmon/Steelhead

Section 1 (Bonneville) — 130 bank anglers had no catch. No boat effort reported.

Section 2 (Camas/Washougal) — Two bank anglers had no catch. 7 boats/12 rods had no catch.

Section 3 (I-5 Area) — No bank effort reported. 1 boat/1 rod had no catch.

Section 4 (Vancouver) — 27 bank anglers had no catch. 50 boats/98 rods kept two Chinook.

Section 5 (Woodland) — Eight bank anglers kept one steelhead. 28 boats/75 rods kept seven Chinook.

Section 6 (Kalama) — Six bank anglers had no catch. 19 boats/59 rods kept four Chinook.

Section 7 (Cowlitz) — No bank effort reported. 4 boats/12 rods had no catch.

Section 8 (Longview) — 71 bank anglers kept three Chinook and four steelhead. 97 boats/210 rods kept 12 Chinook and released one Chinook.

Section 9 (Cathlamet) — 26 bank anglers had no catch. 6 boats/16 rods kept three Chinook and released one Chinook.

Section 10 (Cathlamet) — One bank angler had no catch. 54 boats/114 rods kept 15 Chinook.

Sturgeon

Section 8 (Longview) — 1 boat/1 rod had no catch.

Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge downstream) — 75 bank anglers kept four steelhead and released one steelhead. No boat effort reported.

Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge upstream) — 62 bank anglers kept seven steelhead. 15 boats/58 rods kept 35 steelhead and released two steelhead.

Kalama River — 11 bank anglers released one steelhead. 4 boats/11 rods released two steelhead.

Lewis River — 12 bank anglers kept two Chinook. 4 boats/10 rods released five steelhead.
