Hanford Reach Fishing Report (9-12-23)

THE FOLLOWING REPORT WAS FORWARDED BY TODD MILLER, WDFW

The Hanford Reach fall salmon sport fishery starting to pick up and looking like last year’s harvest at this time. From September 4 through September 10, WDFW staff interviewed anglers from 251 boats (699 anglers) with 133 adult Chinook.

Based on sampling, an estimated 363 adult Chinook were harvested from 1,787 angler trips (700 boats) in the fourth week of the fishery.

In addition,  6 steelhead were caught and released. Expect harvest of Fall chinook returns start picking up this next week.
