Sturgeon:
Walleye:
Bonneville Pool – No report.
The Dalles Pool – Four bank anglers released one walleye. 6 boats/15 rods kept two walleye.
John Day Pool – 36 boats/85 rods kept 108 walleye and released eight walleye.
JANUARY COVER GUY JERRY HAN HOLDS A WALLEYE HE RECENTLY CAUGHT IN THE MID-COLUMBIA WHILE FISHING A MIX OF JIGS AND BLADES. THE BABY PERCH THAT ONE WALLEYE SPIT UP LED THE TRI-CITIES-BASED ANGLER TO REPAIN A BLADE BAIT IN SIMILAR COLORS. (FISHING PHOTO CONTEST)
Columbia River Tributaries
Salmon/Steelhead:
Cowlitz River – I-5 Br downstream – 48 bank rods kept three steelhead. 7 boats/18 rods kept two steelhead and released one steelhead.
Above the I-5 Br – 37 bank rods kept five steelhead and released one steelhead. 16 boats/52 rods kept 14 steelhead.
