Preliminary Washington Columbia River mainstem and tributary sport sampling summary February 7-13, 2022

Mainstem Columbia River 

Sturgeon: 

Walleye: 

Bonneville Pool – No report. 

The Dalles Pool – One bank angler had no catch. 17 boats/36 rods kept five walleye.

John Day Pool – 45 boats/106 rods kept 126 walleye and released 11 walleye.

Columbia River Tributaries 

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River – I-5 Br downstream – 69 bank rods kept three steelhead and released one steelhead. 2 boats/4 rods had no catch.  

Above the I-5 Br – 26 bank rods kept five steelhead and released one steelhead. 29 boats/83 rods kept  23 steelhead and released one steelhead.
