Camping, Fire Restrictions Still In Effect On Hancock TMAs In NE Oregon, ODFW Advises
THE FOLLOWING IS A PRESS RELEASE FROM THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE
Hunters need to be aware that all Hancock Forest Management lands in northeast Oregon are currently at a Stage 2 regulated use closure.
The restrictions impact Hancock properties in the travel management areas Shamrock, Whiskey Cr, Noregaard, Little Catherine Cr, Meacham and any other Hancock properties enrolled in the A&H program in northeast Oregon.
While the Stage 2 closure is in effect, rules on these properties include:
- No camping
- No non-industrial chainsaw use
- No open flame of any kind including propane
- No ATV or UTV use
- All native surface dirt – roads closed to motor vehicles
- Rocked roads with vegetation growing on the road surface closed to motor vehicles
- Leased cabin use allowed with the before mentioned restrictions
