Early Lower Columbia, Gorge Pool Springer Seasons Set; 2 Dalles Pool Keeper Sturgeon Days Coming Up
WDFW and ODFW Director representatives today approved the Lower Columbia, Columbia Gorge and SAFE spring Chinook fisheries as recommended by staff, and they also approved two more days of The Dalles Pool sturgeon retention.
Another 5-hour Smelt Dip Coming To The Cowlitz
Smelt dipping will be allowed on the lower Cowlitz River this Saturday, February 21, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., WDFW announced today. An estimated 14,675 pounds of smelt were harvested by 2,800 dippers on Wednesday’s opener.
