John Day Pool Sturgeon Retention Closing After Thursday
With 90 percent of the John Day Pool guideline expected to be filled by then, the last of the Columbia Gorge’s three keeper sturgeon fisheries this year will close after Thursday, March 13, state managers decided this afternoon. They also say that there will again be no retention season on the Lower Columbia due to “low numbers of legal-size fish.”
