NMFS Review Says Willamette Springers, Winter-runs Should Keep ESA Threatened Status
Federal fishery overseers say that the viability of Willamette River spring Chinook and winter steelhead has declined since 2016’s review of both stocks and recommends that upstream and downstream passage past dams, deep reservoir drawdowns in fall and winter and continued floodplain restoration actions be implemented to help advance their recovery.
