New Washington Smelt, Crawfish, Carp Licensing Requirement Begins June 6

A bill that removed fishing license exemptions for smelt, crawfish and carp in Washington waters goes into effect this Thursday after it was passed earlier this year by the state legislature with support from WDFW and signed by Governor Jay Inslee. Carp anglers will still be able to fish Moses Lake and Vancouver Lake without the new license.
