Heavy Rains Lead To Loss Of Some Fall Chinook Fry At Samish Hatchery
Heavy rains Sunday night led to a mechanical failure at a North Sound hatchery and the loss of some fall Chinook fry being reared there, but a WDFW spokesman says the agency doesn’t anticipate major impacts from it.

The Oregon State Police reports a Lower Columbia fishing and hunting guide was ordered to pay a combined restitution of $50,000 to the state marine board, guides and outfitters association and ODFW after pleading guilty to two counts of failing to register as an outfitter/guide in 2022 and into early 2023.
