Deep South Sound Closing To Salmon Fishing
With “expected catches” in both state and tribal Chinook fisheries lagging, WDFW announces that Marine Area 13, deep South Sound, will close to all salmon fishing as of Monday, August 29.
Rockfish, Bottomfish Reg Changes Coming To OR Coast Sept. 6
“An increase in ocean friendly days this year and higher catch rates of fish per trip” has ODFW prohibiting the retention of China and copper rockfish as well as cabezon, and dropping the general marine bag to four starting Sept. 6 “to remain under Oregon’s recreational harvest quota for nearshore rockfish.”
