Grizzly Bear With 3 Cubs Captured, Collared Near Metaline Falls
In a first for Washington state, wildlife biologists recently captured and fitted a female grizzly bear (Ursus arctos) with a radio collar. The bear, accompanied by three yearling offspring, was then released to help biologists learn more about grizzly bears in Washington state.

Tyler Glenn Chance Warren, 31, of Pendleton, Oregon, was sentenced to three years’ federal probation, a $1,000 fine, 40 hours of community service, and a three-year fishing ban after illegally taking bull trout from the Metolius River in the Deschutes National Forest.
