Controlled Burns Planned For 7 Eastside Wildlife Areas

Annual prescribed burns on Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) lands in eastern Washington are planned to start in April, as conditions allow. Controlled fire reduces the risk of wildfire and improves habitat for animals such as deer, elk, and bighorn sheep.

Gray Harbor Reopens For Crabbing

Reason for action: Based on recent marine toxin test results, the Washington Department of Health has determined that Dungeness crab are safe for human consumption in that portion of Marine Area 2 north of Point Chehalis and in Marine Area 2-2 (Grays Harbor).
