Hanford Reach Fishing Report (8-31-20)

From August 24 through August 30, WDFW staff interviewed anglers from 159 boats (315 anglers) with 28 adult chinook and 10 jacks. Based on the sampling, an estimated 112 adult chinook and 40 chinook jacks were harvested from 1,254 angler trips.

The 2020 Columbia River forecasted return of upriver bright adults is 233,400, with 18,150 of these fish expected to return to the Snake River. This forecast is large enough to allow for harvest in the Snake River.

Sec 6 (Kalama) – 273 bank anglers kept 57 Chinook and two Chinook jacks. 51 boats/139 rods kept 21 Chinook, three Chinook jacks and released two steelhead.
