The president of Northwest fishing tackle company has been elected to fill a regional seat on a national angling organization’s board of directors.
“Dan MacDonald is a strong advocate for ASA’s Keep America Fishing program as a platform to keep anglers informed about issues that impact fishing, as well as a proponent for industry’s involvement in increasing participation through his membership on the Advocacy Committee,” says the American Sportfishing Association.
MacDonald is the president of Yakima Bait, makers of the Mag Lip, Rooster Tail, Fish Flash and other steelhead, trout and salmon fishing gear.
His term begins Oct. 1 and extends for three years, according to ASA. It is his first on the board.
Mike Nussman, ASA president, said that MacDonald and three others also elected to the board offered “a great mix of talent, experience and perspective.”
